Method
We work from a humanistic viewpoint which means the client walks his or her own path.

Our style is interactive, empathic and without judgement. That means there is an unconditional acceptance of the client and the issues.

First we work on the unhealthy, destructive behaviours and then we help the client understand the underlying patterns and heal them.

Abstinence from subtance and/or addiction behaviour.
Developing emotional awareness.
Learn to make contact with the inner voice and learn how to listen to it.
Take responsibility for ones own feelings.
Heal old wounds.
Breaking patterns.
Identifying pitfalls and triggers.
Raising self esteem by learning to love yourself
Setting boundaries: what are boundaries, what are they needed for and when do I set them.
Going to the process of mourning of the substance.
Turning automatic negative thoughts into automatic positive thoughts.

Help with continuing the relationship if wanted.
Help with ending the relationship if needed.

This method connects professional counselling with attending self help groups. When treatment is over, you could continue your recovery by attending self help groups. Scientific research and experience teaches us that this form of recovering from an addiction is very successful. Do you however, feel the need for extra guidance during this process of recovery than there is always the possibility of more counselling.
